WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe that doctrine is important.  Doctrine is not personal opinion; it is the understanding of what Scripture teaches as a systematic body of truth upon which our ministry stands.  ~ I Timothy 1 : 3 - 11

  • We believe in one God, the creator of all things, who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.   ~ Isaiah 9:6 ; Matthew 3:16, 17

  • We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His Personal return in power and glory.   ~ I Corinthians 15 : 3, 4 ; Acts 1 : 11

  • We believe that man was created in the image of God and that he sinned, thereby incurring not only physical death but also spiritual death which is eternal separation from God.   ~Genesis 2 : 16, 17; Revelation 20 : 14, 15

  • We believe in the total depravity of man and the absolute necessity of the new birth for individual salvation.  ~ Ephesians 2 : 1 - 5 ; John 3 : 3, 16

  • We believe in the Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.  ~ Ephesians 2 : 8 - 10; Titus 3:5

  • We believe in the regenerating, indwelling, sealing, and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, who baptizes each believer into the body of Christ upon his acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.  The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers as He wills for the edification of the church.  ~ I Corinthians 12 : 12 - 13; Romans 12 : 3 - 9

  • We believe in one universal church, embracing all who are united to Christ by saving faith and divine grace, and its expression in local communities of faith centered on Christ and the gospel. Two ordinances are enjoined by Christ upon all believers: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. ~ Ephesians 4:5; Matthew 28:18 - 20; I Corinthians 11:23 - 32

  • We believe in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.  ~ John 5 : 24 - 29; Revelation 20 : 12 - 15
